The Vision

ART at The PARK

Art at the Park, new to Canterbury Park, began with a shared dream. It shows how art can spark curiosity, boost confidence, and help kids see new possibilities

Exciting Art Sessions for Kids

Children will have the chance to engage in two, three-hour art sessions each week. These sessions will focus on beginner skills, teaching them how to use various tools, explore different subjects, and experiment with a range of media to create their own stunning masterpieces.

This distinctive program features live subjects for inspiration, including horses, chickens, and small critters. Additionally, there will be opportunities for children to exercise, stretch their minds, and engage their bodies.

At the conclusion of each session, the children's artwork will be showcased at the Grand Stand for public viewing.

Art for the Ages

Alongside our on-site offering, children will have the chance to spend one of their weekly sessions visiting a local senior living facility.

During this time, they will engage in art lessons, games and storytelling; fostering connections with some of the most valued members of our community.

Our art for the ages participants will also be invited to experience a day at the races to learn more about the racing community and culture.
